Kauai Day 7

We didn't do much on our final day in Kauai.  We had to check out at noon and our flight wasn't until 8:30pm.  We didn't really want to get sweaty/sandy/muddy hiking or going to the beach so we just killed time (we had to check out the Hawaiian Walmart and souvenir shops) and ate (a lot) and of course had one last fresh cup of Java Kai.

We decided to go back to the Marriott on Kalapaki Beach and eat lunch at Duke's.

And the waitress talked us in to the Hula Pie.  Oh. My. Word.  It was SOOOO good! And HUGE! Oreo crust, vanilla mac nut ice cream and hot fudge. Yes! Please!
Duke's on Kalapaki Beach...
We boarded the plane and said Aloha to Kauai.  After a 5 hour leg to LAX.  A 3.5 hour leg to Minn/St. Paul.  And a 1.5 hour leg to Tulsa.  We were reunited with our babies at 4:30pm!!  They were SOOO happy to see us.  Noah almost set of the security alarm as he ran toward us!  They were super sweet!

Memaw and pappaw helped the kids make this sign that was on our door when we got home.

Ahhhh, there's no place like home even after you've been to tropical paradise.
