Tonsils, Who Needs 'Em?

Noah had a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy the first week of June. His tonsils were ginormous!!  We've been needing to do it for a while now and had even cancelled the surgery one time before.  We couldn't put it off any longer.  His snoring and sleep apnea were only getting worse.

Surgery was quick!  They were taking us to the recovery room before we knew it.  He looks great here, but the nurse said he was like wrestling a octo-gator as he was waking up from his anesthesia.

We've just been taking it easy for the past week or so.  Coloring, iPhone, library books, movies, "school work" pages, computer games and our new kitty (more on that later!) have kept him entertained.  It's hard to keep a 7 year old boy still!  We have tried to stay on top of the pain and he has been pretty willing to take his medicine.  We've even been waking him up in the middle of the night for pain medicine.  We'll all be glad when he's feeling better.
