The State Championship

At least that's what it felt like anyway!

Noah's baseball team doesn't have the most talent. They aren't the boys that came out of the womb swinging a bat, the boys that are in tournaments every weekend. But they have learned so much this year and come so far! Our boys were all 7 year olds in a 7 and 8 year old league.  Do you know how much boys grow from 7 to 8 years?! Yikes! We played some giants, but our boys kept their heads up and kept trying.

How 'bout this beautiful Oklahoma sunset?
Our final game of the season was the second of a double header.  We lost the first game, played a different team the second game and WON!  We won a few games this season, but this game was special.  We beat a team that "thumped us" (in Noah's words) earlier in the season.  It was fun to watch the boys finally click.  If only we could play 10 more games...

Listening(?) to the post game talk.
Learning he was one of the players of the game. :)
He earned it, with a bloody strawberry and everything!  He was running for home plate and the catcher had the ball, he didn't slow down and just plowed right in to him.  It was awesome!  (He was called out, but we're not convinced ;)
Cute baseball boys.
Woooo-hooo!!
Love this...
1-2-3-CARDINALS!!

Nana and pawpaw came up for his last games.
Coach Pappaw, memaw and Noah.  Our friends from church came to Noah's last game too.  His second time up at bat, he turned around and smiled the biggest smile and waved at us.  We all melted.
Sister was a trooper for going to ALL of bubby's games (and a lot of practices).  Even 7:30 games on napless, preschool days!
Way to go Noah!! What a fun year.
