Branson

We decided to have one last summer getaway. We have been hearing about how much Branson has changed since we were kids and how they have so much for little ones.  We finally got around to going!

We dropped our stuff at the hotel and went to the afternoon showing of Joseph.  It was SOO good!  It made us wish we'd taken time to go see Noah when it was showing.
We weren't supposed to take pictures, but the sets and costumes were amazing!
We went to dinner at Mi Cocina at Branson Landing and watched the fountain show before it started pouring!

Saturday (my birthday!),  we went to the Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventure.  The kids loved it!  Noah was cracking us up telling us all he'd learned about butterflies in kindergarten.

This is the rainforest maze.

A butterfly landed on Ellianna's bow!
They were everywhere!  It was so much fun.
I see you!
Noah is way in to Wild Kratts right now so he loved having a rainforest adventure!

I got Ellianna a toy carriage at the JBF sale this summer.  She said she wished she could ride in a carriage.  I did some research and found out they do carriage rides at Big Cedar Lodge!  I booked one. She was in awe!

 I think she liked it!

We had such a good time.  The scenery was beautiful.

I got to have my birthday dinner at Devil's Pool Restaurant (AND eat outside, my favorite).
This was our view!  I want to go back and stay there!
After dinner we went to Truman Coffee and Cake for a strawberry cupcake.
On Sunday, we went to the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery.
So interesting! The kids got to feed the rainbow trout.
We were in the right place at the right time when one of the conservation agents threw a giant scoop of food in to the water.  The fish went crazy!
Of course, we had to play miniature golf while we were in Branson.
She's a natural.
That evening we went to the Dixie Stampede.  It was so much fun!
We waited until Monday to go to Silver Dollar City.  I'm so glad we did, it wasn't crowded at all!
Butterflies!
Ladybugs.
Elli did NOT like the bouncing frogs.  I love that Brandon is just laughing.
We had a rain delay!
We just happened to be close to the Sparkle Boutique so Ellianna got a glitter tattoo.
A pink, glittery castle, of course.
Daddy rode Wildfire.  Noah was a nervous wreck for him to go on a roller coaster.  They were able to watch him from this platform.
Brandon pointing at us.
Brandon upside down. :)
The kids and I stayed with the tame rides.
Ladybugs again.

Playing in the water at the end of a long day.  We were there from open to close and the kids loved it.
We drove home Tuesday and stopped at the big Bass Pro Shop in Springfield on our way.  Lots of fun stuff to see!
