Sweetest Birthday Boy

Happy 3rd Birthday, Noah! THREE?! How can that be?!

I'm so glad I had three years to give you my undivided attention. Three years to focus on only you. I so enjoyed you being my "baby" for three years.

What a fun age! At age three...

You ask "what's that?!" all the time (about everything).

You have a strong mind of your own (challenging at times).

You say the funniest things. It's hilarious to hear you regurgitate sayings that daddy or I use often without realizing it.

You know the words to so many songs, it's sweet music to my ears to hear you singing about Jesus. I think your favorite is Mighty to Save. You sing it loud and proud. I can't believe how many songs you know from just hearing them on the radio.

You are daddy's boy to the max! You all have really bonded over the last few weeks since Ellianna's been home.

You love to run errands and eat "at the restaurant". You never want to go home, you always suggest another store we need to go to. (boy, has your "social life" slowed down since baby sister came home!)

You are such a boy. You already have me worried. When we're in the car, you say things like, "don't go slow!" or "pass him!"

You love taking a "bubbles bath". You will suggest a bath at the most random times of the day. You recently took a shower and now LOVE to take showers.

You hate haircuts, getting your hair brushed and letting us brush your teeth. You could stand at the sink and "brush" your own teeth all day, but your toothbrush turns in to a frizzy mess.

You LOVE your train table, trucks, and cars. You have a great little imagination.

You are SO smart and have such an amazing memory, you love to be quizzed.

You are very cautious and nervous in new situations.

Before sister was born, you'd notice a baby's cry from across the store and tell me about it. If you see a child crying, you just stand there and stare. I don't know if you want to help or feel helpless because you don't know what to do. Now when Ellianna cries, you get that same worried look on your face. You say, "she's not sad!" I reassure you that she's not sad, she's just hungry.

You are so compassionate and tender-hearted. Between your daddy, your pappaw, and your great-grandpa Jack those qualities would have been hard to deny.

You bring me such joy. You keep me smiling and laughing.

I want you to stay the sweet boy you are right now. What a blessing you are. Happy Birthday!
