That's right. I'm blogging from the hospital.
I went in for my 35 week appointment yesterday, my doctor was trying to determine if baby girl was still head up. She couldn't tell for sure so we did an ultrasound and discovered not only is baby girl breech, my fluid is low! She sent me straight to the hospital. You can imagine my expression and the thoughts that ran through my head. "You talkin' to me?! I mean, I had the picture perfect pregnancy with Noah, the two and a half hour labor and delivery, it couldn't have been better. Surely you're not suggesting I need to check in to the hospital and spend the night at 35 weeks?! My to do list isn't all checked off, the nursery isn't finished, my house isn't spotless, I was on my way to the grocery store, my child is at preschool, I could be getting so much accomplished!"
I got over my initial shock and walked myself over to the hospital (it's next door to the doc's office) and checked in with nothing more than my purse and the clothes on my back. So strange.
Brandon and Noah came to see me. Noah was nervous and worried at first, but was so sweet and such a good boy all evening.
My levels hadn't improved by this morning so I don't get to go home. We might have a September baby instead of an October baby.
Please, please pray for baby girl that she will gain weight quickly, stay strong and get stronger in case they have to do a c-section next week.
That's another thing. This wimp has BIG issues with having to have a c-section. I would love prayers for that as well. Praise the Lord that my doctor did an ultrasound and discovered the problem when she did!

Heather - I know EXACTLY what you're going through. Everything but the perfect pregnancy thing is the same as with Kinley. She was born right at 35 weeks and did great. I pray all goes well for you, also rest and comfort for your hospital stay. Keep us posted!

Oh Heather, I will pray for you right now, and continue to. I hope all goes well and you are released soon so she can grow some more! If you need help with NOah until grandparents get here or anything, please tell Brandon to call!!

ReplyDeleteHeather! We are praying for you and the little miss. Please let us know what we can do to help y'all. When i was pregers with R, my biggest fear was a C-Section. With our complications, that is exactly what i ended up having and honestly, it wasn't bad at all. If that is what it comes to, you will have a great experience. Praying that crisis adverted and you get to go home soon!
ReplyDeleteSame here with the perfect first pregnancy. I think baby girls like a little more drama. :) I was completely against a C-Section, but it happened, and it was a lot better than I thought it would be. When it is all said and done, you won't care how Baby Girl got here. Dr. S will make the right decision. Don't worry about getting things done, that's what your momma is for! Let me know if there is anything I can do!
