Pumpkins Patch Part 2

Our playgroup scheduled individual professional portraits at a different pumpkin patch today. I'll send you all copies later, if they turn out (almost two year olds aren't exactly cooperative for photo shoots!).

Here are a few that I captured on my NEW camera!!

Zoom Zoom Zoom

We went to Silly Town for playgroup on Wednesday. It's a 5,000 square foot indoor play place. They had tons of ride-on vehicles and a tiny roller-coaster. There were little "stations" to play house or grocery shop, play dress up and sing karaoke or do a little construction. My boy didn't leave the confines of this 8x8 "Silly Town Speedway". He literally stayed in there for almost the entire 3 hours that we were there! I'm thinking of converting my closet in to a Silly Town Speedway. I can paint the inside blue, paint a couple checkered flags, put a zillion cars and trucks in there and he'd be entertained for hours. Ha! :)
I couldn't get him to leave, either. I said, I'm hungry, you ready to leave? He said, huh-uh. A couple minutes later I said, are you ready to go home and eat? He said, huh-uh. I let a few more minutes pass as I helped the other moms clean up the mess, by this time, it's after 12, and past his usual lunch time. I walked back by, didn't say a word and he shook his head and said, huh-uh. Needless to say, we had a great time.

No Noah at Noah's Ark

Our playgroup went to the cutest little pool today. It was Noah's ark! The animals sprayed water and the coconuts on the palm tree dumped water. There were slides and tunnels and everything.

My baby wanted nothing to do with it.

As soon as he noticed the big, empty, boring pool on the other side of the fence, that was all he could think about.

So off we went.

I don't know if the spraying water annoys him or the busyness of the pool annoys him or what. But he prefers the big pool over the kiddie pool any day.
Where we spent our time:
Here's my little swimmer. He was in and out of the pool so much, I could not keep his belly covered (but isn't it cute?!). It'll probably be sunburned. :)

Called on Account of Rain

There was a high chance of rain today so playgroup took a break from the pool circuit and found something to do indoors. The mall playground, oh boy, my favorite. (Can you sense the sarcasm?) I willingly went though, because this boy has energy to burn!Sliding down the slide. Suzuki sponsors the playground so it has a car theme. You can climb up the hoods and slide down the back of the cars.Noah spent most of his time spinning this wheel (and trying to ward off any other toddlers who might want to have a turn).

After a lonnnnng wait, Noah finally got to take his turn in this little blue car. It was the only car you could actually sit in and roll the steering wheel so it was a popular attraction. :) He was not about to give up his spot, not even to someone three times his size! He was guarding that driver's seat with all 26 pounds.

A Day of Firsts

We had playgroup at Memorial City Mall today. It was a day of firsts. You all will think I'm crazy, but it was the first time I ventured in to Houston by myself! Every other time, I've had Brandon with me. I really haven't had a need to leave my little corner of the world, I have everything I need right here (plus, the construction on I-10, grrrr, don't get me started). But, I guess the ladies from playgroup decided we needed a change of scenery.

It was also the first time that Noah has played on one of those germy, uh, I mean, cute little play areas at the mall. What a breeding ground for germs. Yuck! I heard coughs, saw runny noses, overheard one mom talking about her son's fever, and smelled poopy diapers. I really had to let my germaphobic-ness go (like my new word?) or we would've both been extremely miserable. We just headed for the closest soap and water as soon as we were finished. He had to take his shoes off too. Double gross!

This is the cute little castle. Noah LOVED the shiny balls hanging from the ceiling.
Little scary person on the steps:
"Mom, can we stop taking pictures now?"
