Fabulous Frederick Oyster Festival

We went to Frederick for the fabulous oyster fry.  They have it every year in February and even though Brandon grew up there, he's never been!

That same weekend, Noah had an assignment to take a picture reading a Dr. Seuss book in a crazy place.  We did all kinds of "sightseeing" in town in conjunction with the festival so we found a lot of neat places to take pictures.

We went to visit the Frederick Army Airfield.  They still hold WWII Airborne Demonstrations and Jump School twice a year.  It was so interesting!  Here's Noah reading his book next to one of the WWII planes.
Elli, Nana and Noah in the Army jeep.
Elli wanted in on the reading action.
Frederick's doppler radar.
We visited the Pioneer Heritage Town Center.  Here's Noah reading at the pulpit of the The St. Paul (AME) Church.  :) It was built in 1924.
At the schoolhouse (built in 1902!).
Cuteness.
With the Abernathy Brothers.  They rode their horses (BY THEMSELVES) from Frederick, OK to New York City at ages 10 and 6!  Can you even imagine?!
At the Crawford Collection...
The Ramona Theatre is a beautifully restored theatre built in 1929.  We put Noah in the ticket booth and snapped his picture.

Brandon and I were the only ones to brave the oysters.  I should have taken a picture!  They were alright.  But I'll probably just eat them once a year at the Fabulous Frederick Oyster Fry.  :)
