So...Erin and I were talking about how tough it is to have quality conversations and catch up on the phone with everyday life going on in the background, etc. She jokingly suggested that she could go to her neighborhood Starbucks in Houston, I could go to mine, we order our coffee and have some good phone time.
Then she said,
if you have one. Of course, I laughed, as if we're so antiquated in Oklahoma that Starbucks hasn't ventured in to our territory. :)
That made me think, I should do Tulsa Tuesdays where I feature different Tulsa attractions for my Texas readers (all two of you). Maybe you've never been to Oklahoma or maybe you've just driven straight through and seen the less desirable views from the interstate and you're ever so anxious to learn more.
So, for my first feature... :)
Tulsa's new OneOk Field, home to Double-A baseball's Tulsa Drillers.
Tulsa has had a minor league baseball team forever, but they just built a brand new stadium downtown. Yes, we have a downtown too, it's a little blip compared to Houston and Dallas, but it's a downtown nonetheless.

Ryan, Lindsey and Alexis were in town last week so we all decided to go to the baseball game. We got general admission lawn seats, threw down the blankets and Noah and I went to play on the playground. We were there for seconds and it started POURING. We took cover under the playset. Noah was so nervous, bless his heart. He kept saying, "I don't like this ballgame, I wanna go home."

It finally cleared up, we found daddy, Elli, memaw, and pappaw, upgraded our tickets from the wet grass to the wet tables and enjoyed some baseball.

We committed a cardinal sin and gave Elli Bells a taste of ice cream! Oh my, she loved it. She gave us lots of laughs. She grabbed Brandon
and the spoon and lunged for more. Noah still won't try ice cream.

My sister in law, Lindsey and gorgeous baby Alexis.

Noah watching the game from the playground.

There you have it, your first taste of Tulsa. See? Normal civilization. :)
