We watched intently as he put the dip covered chip in his mouth, chewed it, swallowed it, and nodded enthusiastically. The dip had his full endorsement! We were beyond shocked. This from a boy who won't even TRY ice cream. The same boy who grosses out at the texture of grapes and strawberries. Of all things, he likes guacamole salsa! He was literally licking it off the chip. It was one of the most amazing things I've seen in a long time! I love how he dips the chip all the way in like he's punching a time card. We had such a good laugh. I was SO glad I still had my camera in my purse from the baby shower this afternoon.

New Summer Do
This morning we had an appointment with Martha at Cool Cuts 4 Kids. Noah needed to lose some locks! This boy sweats like you would not believe. I told her to cut his hair as short as possible without buzzing it (that was not even an option!). Here he is modeling his new style.

It's Not Just Good...
We love a good Sonic break on a hot day. Noah is no different. Here he is enjoying his favorite beverage from Sonic (or anywhere for that matter)...ice water. Each swig was followed with "aahhhhhhh".

New Boo Chair
Who is this toddler sitting in my living room and what did he do with my baby?
I got these fun new chairs for Noah at H-E-B. He prefers to sit in the "boo" one.

A Day of Firsts
It was also the first time that Noah has played on one of those germy, uh, I mean, cute little play areas at the mall. What a breeding ground for germs. Yuck! I heard coughs, saw runny noses, overheard one mom talking about her son's fever, and smelled poopy diapers. I really had to let my germaphobic-ness go (like my new word?) or we would've both been extremely miserable. We just headed for the closest soap and water as soon as we were finished.
He had to take his shoes off too. Double gross!

E-I-E-I !
Our playgroup went to the "Barn Park" a couple weeks ago and I was really looking forward to taking Noah. Unfortunately, he woke up with a fever that morning and didn't get to go. Well, I finally got to take him last week. It's in another subdivision so technically I probably shouldn't have been using their park, but it was SO cute. I was just praying another mom didn't strike up a conversation with me and ask me where I lived! :)
Here's the playground equipment. As soon as we pulled up, Noah saw it and got SOOOO excited. I couldn't get an "action-shot" of him playing, it's a little hard when you're holding his hand and trying to make sure he doesn't fall down.

Happy Mother's Day
We managed to have a great family day despite being so far away from our moms. Brandon and Noah got me sweet cards, a Rachael Ray cookbook, and a CD. We played at the park, I took a lonnnnnng nap, and basically didn't lift a finger all day. It was quite nice.
I'm so proud and thrilled to be a mommy to this precious little guy. What a blessing he is!!!

Excuse Me, What Happened to Spring?
It is 92 degrees outside today. 92 degrees! On May 9th! Apparently they don't "observe" spring in this neck of the woods.

What was the Score?
We went to our first (and hopefully not last) Astros game of the season last night. Brandon's friend, Daniel (met in college, roomate after college, worked together at CITGO) was in town with his new job and he gave us the tickets. Daniel's friend Aaron also joined us. We had GREAT seats, right behind the Astros dugout. The weather was great, muggy, but tolerable.
We had such a good time visiting that we didn't catch much of the game (except for the occasional foul ball scare). We left early in order to get Noah to bed at a decent hour, but we caught the 10 o'clock news and saw that the Astros beat the Nationals, 6-5.
Noah loves the red balls outside of Target (are those at every Target?). He was so happy to be free from the stroller or shopping cart so he could actually get close enough to hug one of the baseballs!
The view from our seats. Pretty sweet, huh? I SO wish I would've taken Noah's picture on top of the Astro's dugout! :)

Mommy and Noah at the game. He did such a good job. I really thought he would want to get down and run around, but he sat on my lap (or shared my chair with me) the entire time. He even ate a WHOLE ballpark hotdog by himself! The cheering kind of made him nervous and he would press his ear to my shoulder to block the noise, other than that, I think he had fun. The poor kid is so hot natured! Look at his sweaty head!Noah and Daniel. Noah was more interested in the lights or clouds or birds or something. Quite a nice shot of his molar even if I do say so myself.
