We got Noah's teacher this cute little set of post it notes and magnet clip.
Eating his usual breakfast. No break in routine for this boy. Yo Kids, two chocolate chip waffles, and water! While he and Elli were sitting at the table together, he told her, "Elli, I'm going to Kindergarten today!" Ugh, break my heart.
I said, "Say Kindergarten" and he jumped in to this pose and said, "KINDERGARTEN!!"
Daddy and bubba.
Sweetest boy.
Noah and baby sister. At 1:00 she said, "can we go get bubba after I eat a snack?" :( Sweet baby, she missed her buddy.
Noah and his teacher.
He barely had time for pictures in the classroom. He headed for the toys. I'm so glad he felt comfortable!
Elli stayed home with memaw and pappaw so we could focus everything on the man of the day!
After school, we went to a new little bakery in town to get Noah a first day celebratory cookie. Elli requested a pink cake ball. And then a brown one! :)
It's hard to get information out of boys, but here is his report:
He said, "it was fun, but it was pretty long".
He said they had computer time, but didn't get to anything except "learn about the equipment".
He reported that they had two recess times. (I kinda vote for doing away with all the recessing and "resting" and do half day kinder like we did in the good ol' days). Anyone?
Noah was the light monitor. :)
When we received his class list we saw there was a boy in his class named Anakin! Noah grinned ear to ear about it. I told Brandon he's gonna want to be his best friend. Sure enough, I asked if he made any friends and he said, "yeah, Anakin is my best friend." Ha! :)
I asked him about learning the cafeteria rules he responded, "Yeah, we learned rules every where we went!!" Thus is the first day.Second day he wasn't quite as excited about going back. He told me he was sleepy and said it took too long for me to come back and get him. He said he wants his teacher to quit school on Monday. I think he meant he wants her to announce that that will be the last day of school. :) He was fine once he got there and barely gave me a good-bye. Bless his heart. I hope he'll get used to it.
I let him eat cafeteria food today, after all, it was pizza day! I can't wait to hear about that experience!
