Ropin' Rogers

Last week, we went to the Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch. (Everyone knows who Will Rogers was, right? Oklahoman, cowboy, movie star, broadway star, writer, comedian, trick roper, never met a man he didn't like, that guy?)

I met a girl in the Sunday School class we visited last week and she invited us to go on a picnic with her. Her son is Noah's age and her daughter is a couple months older than Ellianna.
The ranch overlooks Lake Oolagah (pronounced just like its spelled), such a pretty, peaceful place for a picnic. If only little boys didn't just want to eat and run...
We got to see chickens, a horse taking a bath, and a very noisy peacock.
Baby girl wants to crawl SO BAD! She enjoyed munchin' on puffs at the picnic.
I'd never been there before and we had a good time! Even though I'm from this area, in the kid's activities department, I feel like I'm new to the area. I was only a stay-at-home/work-part-time mom for about seven months before we moved to Texas and Noah wasn't at the stage where I was seeking out things for him to do. I am excited about this summer and all the new, fun activities we will get to do and places we need to explore!
