Noah's First Bedlam

We got to take Noah to his first Bedlam event, the Bedlam baseball game at Driller Stadium! We thought we'd break him in with something a little less intense than the football rivalry.

Here he is waiting for the game to start. He clapped for both teams as they introduced the players. Before we left the house, memaw was telling him we were going to the "ballgame" so the entire way there he was telling us "going to the ballgame!" Then when we got to our seats, he'd look at us every little bit and say, "at the ballgame!" He was SO excited. Pistols Firing!! Noah's showing us his "Go Pokes" guns. Daddy took him down to find Boomer and Sooner the mascot ponies and they couldn't find them. Brandon said Noah was yelling Boomer Sooner trying to find the horses all the while sporting his orange and white OSU shirt. Poor confused kid. They never found the mascots. They did find Pistol Pete, but I think his giant head was a little too much. Noah said, "no Pete".Orange Power! Sitting with Memaw and Pappaw. Noah lasted until the bottom of the seventh inning which I thought was amazing.

We all enjoyed the game and the company, but someone special was missing. My dad's dear friend Lloyd was the most generous man you'd ever have the pleasure of meeting. He bought our Bedlam tickets every year. He bought them in bulk and gave them to family, friends, and clients. This year he bought our tickets as usual, and as usual would not let us pay for them. Lloyd passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in April. His eldest son insisted that we had to go to the game because that's what his dad would've wanted. We really missed his conversation, laughing, joking, and teasing. I'm sure he was rooting for the Cowboys, from the best seat he's ever had.
